Abstract
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a serious public health issue globally as 366 million people were estimated having
diabetes in year-2011. Self-care plays a key role in controlling type-II diabetes, however, little is known about
self-practices from Pakistani context. The aim of this study was to assess self-care practices among type-II diabetes
patients visiting tertiary care hospitals of Peshawar, KPK.
