DIAGNOSTIC ACCURACY OF ULTRASOUND IN URINARY BLADDER CARCINOMA KEEPING HISTOPATHOLOGY AS GOLD STANDARD
Abstract
ABSTRACT
Introduction: Primary carcinoma of the urinary bladder is aggressive malignancy that affects men more frequently
than women. Despite advances in cross-sectional imaging, early-stage tumors are not often encountered. Ultrasound
is widely used for diagnosis of urinary bladder carcinoma. However in obese patients ultrasound has limited role due
to patient body habitus and degradation of image quality and anatomic details.
